What makes our lessons different?

Music Makers lessons are designed to take advantage of cutting edge technology through learning software, apps, games and strategies that reflect what we know about how the brain learns! This doesn’t mean just sitting a student in front of a screen. We combine the value of 1 on 1 instruction with fun activities that help absorb the technique and information. Music has emotion and movement so we strive to use outside the box creative learning tools to help our students be successful.

What does it mean to have a creative music lesson?

Most people think of private lessons as sitting in a spot for 30 minutes, playing what they are told in a stale atmosphere. Creative lessons use 1 on 1 instruction in music and technique and seek to help absorb these things through board games, action learning, rhythm practice, music apps, and brain smart activities. These lessons also incorporate elements of improvisation and composition, because it teaches you to understand music in a whole different way! Creative music lessons also introduce practice strategies and give specific fun ideas for how to practice at home—it is so much more than dry repetition!

Can I pick my teacher?

Absolutely! Our aim is to match the student with a teacher and find a learning relationship that works. Students can match with someone who has availability or request a specific teacher. Schedule a free demo lesson to get a tour and evaluate whether our Studio is the right fit for you or your student. If you don’t feel like it’s a good fit you can choose a different teacher or cancel all together, no strings attached.

Where do you teach lessons?

Music Makers is located in Castle Rock, Colorado, just 5 minutes from downtown! Our Lesson Studio is at 651 Topeka Way in Suite #200.

Can my children take the Bigs & Littles lessons?

We would like to keep this format as one adult + one child in a familial relationship. However, we recognize that there are certain situations where this could be beneficial to siblings, so give us a call at 303-663-4084 to discuss the options!

Can I rent an instrument?

Yes! Our Rent+ Program is low cost and packed with benefits. We believe that everyone should have the best opportunity and experience while learning to love music. The rental program is designed to help you or your student succeed with benefits like free exchanges, accrued credit, and simple cancellation. PLUS, it takes less than 5 minutes to sign up!

What kind of music/curriculum do you use?

We use several different methods and curriculums depending on the student’s overall goals and journey. We want students to like what they are playing! Different styles of music speak to different people so we give students a say in what they want to play and we incorporate that into their lessons.

When can I start?
